AREAS - ZIMBABWE

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in Southern Africa, with a well established safari industry that boasts excellent hotels and infrastructure. The official language is English, with Shona and Ndebele being the national native languages.

Hunting can be conducted all year round, however the prime hunting period runs from April through to November. Bvekenya Safaris operates in several hunting areas around Zimbabwe, so that we can fulfill our clients expectations. there is no single area in Zimbabwe that is good for all species, hence at times, depending on what you would like to hunt, we may move to a different area to get those last few plainsgame animals.

Chewore

We are proud to announce that we have been operating in both the Chewore North and South areas for over 10 years. We work in close conjunction with several companies in these areas.

The Chewore area has the Zambezi river to the North, and Zambezi valley Escarpment to the South. Sapi is to the West and Dande runs along the Eastern border. The area stretches for over 2,000,000 acres, offering the discerning hunter a wide range of game including elephant, buffalo, lion. leopard, hippo and plainsgame.

Chewore North Camp

It is, without doubt, the prime safari area in Zimbabwe - boasting huge herds of buffalo totaling over 10 000 head. Approximately 3000 elephant and numerous plains game abound in this area. It is not surprising that there is also a large population of lion and particularly leopard.

There is a choice of 4 camps - ranging from beautiful stone chalets with thatched roofs to first class East African styled tented camps. All accommodation has en-suite bath and toilet facilities, with hot and cold running water and flush toilets.
